lazy to the bone

I have promised myself several times to write on this blog but I haven't. I have spent all of my free time playing game of war, final fantasy 8/10, and looking for other games to play. I love video games and it has been such a long time since I could dedicate real time to them. All of my side projects have been put to the wayside to fulfill the inner child in me.
However, there are important things I should be talking about. For example, Donald trump being the laugh of the century or bill Cosby being the disappointment of the century. I watch the news with a mix feeling of horror and amusement lately. Black people losing their lives to the men in blue. Poaching still alive and popular in this day and age. Women still fighting for equality in this man ruled world.
There are tons of things for me to talk about on this blog but I sit and play video games. Sometimes in order to deal with the world you just have to pretend it doesn't exist.

Gaining Social Media Presence

I've had dreams in the past about being a successful on social media. Watching all my favorite bloggers, you tubers, and other artist, take off on the internet I felt inspired. I wonder what it would be like to do what you actually love for a living. I figured I would give it a try and start blogging. My blog usually received a total of 10 views. This seemed ok at first, until it happened consistently. I wondered what I was doing wrong. After months I didn't have any fans decided to ditch my blog. I started and deleted about 6 blogs since then. This blog came into existence when I finally learned about social media presence.
When people say social media presence we thinking of it only as having an account on a social network. This isn't true at all, sure you need an account but you also have to do something with it. In order to gain fans and followers you have to learn how to network. Likes for likes is a common way to gain some traction. This is when you like someone else's blog or page in exchange for liking your page. Many people on the Internet work together to gain popularity. Social presence is 80% promotion! Freely promoting someone else helps you receive free promotion. Of course, if you have the cash, you could all just pay the site itself to promote you.
Joining in groups, forums, and even tags, help you connect with a larger audience. If you have a target audience or know who you may want to reach, then find a group or forum which relates and promote yourself. Not every group let's you self promote so be sure to ask the administrator first. You don't want to get banned from groups just for promoting yourself.
Most importantly, keep your audience engaged! Disappearing weeks or months at a time my cause your audience to lose interest in you. Make a schedule for updating your blog or page stick to it. Your audience will take notice of when you post in order to come back for more.

There is so much I can say on this topic but this post was specifically about my blog journey. While I am still slowly building my fan base, I have learned a great deal about social media presence. Keeping up with everything has been so time consuming! I see why people often what until their vacation to post.

Being A Blogger Means...

Blogging seems like the easiest thing in the world to do. You find a site to host your blog, make an account, and just begin typing. It's as simple as pie, if that were how it really works. Here are a few things you need to consider when starting a blog.

1. What Are You Talking About?

No seriously, what are you going to be talking about? It is important to choose your topic before you start your blog. Having random posts on random subjects can come off somewhat immature. More importantly, you may not be able to reach your target audience. Many people make blogs about their life. Making a blog about your life is fine but how do I relate to it? What makes me want to read it? Find a way to connect to other people and make them interested in you. If you are good with make up, than make a beauty blog. If you are good at crafts, then make a blog about your crafts or a "how to" blog. Find your passion and share it with the world.

2. Find an Audience

Every blogger needs an audience which can be hard to find. There are thousands of blogs out there, the chances of someone finding yours is... well you can figure it out. You can wait for people to find you or find people to introduce your blog to. The latter is the best thing to do, find communities online that share the same interest and promote your blog there. It is easier to find someone interested in make up and introduce your blog than what for Google to randomly match you up. There are communities out there for everything, even blogging. which leads me to...

3. Self Promotion

You are your own agent, it is YOUR job to make people interested in YOU. This means making your blog easy for people to find by linking it everywhere! Okay not everywhere, but you want to plug in places that are relevant. Ask friends to read your blog and show it to others. Leave a link to your blog when you comment on something. Share other bloggers and ask them to share your blog too! The more followers you have, the more followers you will gain.

4. Know Whether This Full Time or Part Time or Just a Hobby

Many people start a blog then ditch it. Why gain an audience to ditch them in a few days? Whether it's school, work, or personal life, there are things that will interfere with your blogging time. Sudden disappearances can lead to lost of interest and a decrease in audience. Think about it is watching your favorite show or reading your favorite column in a magazine. When your expecting something a new episode or column, your disappointed when you don't see it. Often times you lose interest while waiting for new work. It is better to let your audience know about your schedule, when you will be posting, and when you will be absent. This makes you seem more reliable and sincere, something your followers will appreciate. In order to do this, you have to know your own schedule. Will you be able to ted to your blog full time or only on weekends? Maybe just once a month? Know your capabilities.

5. TMI

Being a blogger you have the right to say whatever you want. That doesn't mean you have to say everything! Be safe, don't give out your address, your number, or your email to everyone. Don't post private picture of yourself if you are not prepared for other people to share or use it. The internet is still a very lawless place. While you are being sincere someone may be lying to you.

I hope this helps, god luck with your blog. Also don't forget to proofread like I do, it will make you sound like an idiot.

How the fuck am I tired?

I amazed at just how much sleep my body needs now that I do nothing. I am either watching tv or doing work on my computer. All day long I am mostly sitting on my ass, yet I still feel tired. I don't understand this, when I worked two jobs I couldn't get myself to sleep after work. Now I take 3 naps a day. The only thing I can think of is your brain is constantly exhausted when your crazy. Think about it, I battle my brain all day to get out of bed, eat, wash, and do something with myself. All those things are very mentally demanding meaning I am left with absolute zero energy.
Or it could be that I spend most of my time trying to get myself health again. Distracting myself from depression by doing various crafts or work online. No matter what the problem is, I am actually getting sick of my bed. Maybe, if I sleep on the floor like they do in Asia I'll never want to sleep? it could be the key to not being lazy, make your house so uncomfortable you never want to be there. This means my $1,200 bed and satin sheet will be the death of me. Too soft to every give up!

To keep this blog or not to keep this blog? That is the new age question!

I have had this blog for a long time but never bothered to keep up with it. My life was constantly busy with work, school, family, friends, and occasionally boyfriends. Now I have crippling agoraphobia which means I have nothing but time to constantly blog about nothing. Like this post right here, completely not needed at all and completely noneducational. It is strictly just a message between you and me stating: I am lazy and too embarrassed to continue an old blog!
the great thing about this blog is it is a catch all blog. I have a blog for things you should know, Asian things, and my struggle with agoraphobia but I need a blog where I can write anything, just opinions. I think this will be it. If you have read all of this, congratulations you have wasted you time on utter babble. Kudos to you :)
